Startup Instructions using Artesian's Bromine Kit:

1. After filling the spa & getting the water circulating add 1 ounce per 100 gallons of METAL OUT PLUS by just pouring it into the spa with the jets running.

2. Run the jets about 15 minutes. Test the water by using one of the AQUACHEK test strips. Dip the strip into the water and remove it immediately. Hold the strip level and wait 15 seconds to compare it to the color chart on the test strip bottle.

3. Ideally, your total alkalinity should read between 80 ­ 150. If your reading is below 80, add pH/ALKALINITY PLUS at the rate of 2 _ TBSP per 500 gallons water to raise the total alkalinity 10 PPM (parts per million). Run the jets 15 minutes and wait two hours to retest the alkalinity. If your alkalinity is extremely low it may take a couple of treatments to bring it up into range.

4. Once you have gotten your alkalinity into range, check the pH. The ideal range for pH in your spa is 7.2 ­ 7.8.

If the pH tests below 7.2, add 4 ounces LIQUID pH PLUS per 500 gallons water. Run the spa at least 10 minutes before retesting the water.

If the pH tests in the 7.8 ­ 8.0 range, add 2 ounces LIQUID pH DOWN per 500 gallons water. Run the spa 10 minutes. Retest and retreat the water if necessary.

If the pH tests in the 8.0 ­ 8.4 range, add 4 ounces LIQUID pH DOWN PER 500 gallons water. Run the spa 10 minutes. Retest and retreat the water if necessary.

5. Once you have gotten the pH in range add _ ounce SPA SODIUM BROMIDE per 100 gallons of spa water.

6. Add 1 BROMINE tablet per 100 gallons of water to the floater. Place the floater in the water.

7. Add 2 ounces SPA SHOCK SUPREME per 300 gallons water. Run the jets at least 15 minutes.

8.Wait one day. Add 1 ounce SPA PERFECT per 100 gallons water.
